Jason Ayers – Owner of Armadillo Roofing, Inc.
I am the second generation to run Armadillo Roofing, Inc and hopefully my daughters will be the third generation taking care of the business and our community. I have always had an interest in building things and figuring out how things work. It started when I was a child and I would take things apart just to see how they functioned, and I would take broken things and try to fix them. I learned a lot from those experimentation years, and I think I learned as much from my failures as I did from my successes.
I think that’s how life is; we learn from our accomplishments and our failures equally.
My dad started this company with another family member in 1996. This family-run business has brought together grandparents, uncles, cousins, nephews and brothers.
History of Armadillo Roofing
This company came about from being a very small business working out of a spare bedroom and a 10’x 10’ metal shed. There was just the two of us, my father and I, and we did everything from washing cars to the actual roof application, and the day to day running of our business.
Now our business consists of a wonderful team of employees who are like family, along with a shop furnished with hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment. Despite our humble beginnings, we are now a company that does millions of dollars’ worth of business every year.
And it’s not just about making money. I am proud to say we are considered a leader in our industry when it comes to protecting our environment and we also support our community in various ways. We are a major sponsor for the “My Breast Friends” 5-K Run for breast cancer awareness held in June. We also donate money to Lane Community College vocational programs, Willamette High School’s sports program, Armadillo Roofing, Inc. also supports the music program at Shasta Middle School.
Armadillo Roofing has earned a Better Business Bureau A+ rating. We also are part of the BRING Recycling Program in Lane County.
“Our first experience with Armadillo was when our contractor brought them in to do a roof vent for us. They were efficient, courteous, did what they said they would do on time and on budget. All of that deserved five stars but today honestly if I could give them six stars I would. We were having a leak in our garage and asked Jason to come look at it. He climbed up there, immediately saw the problem, said it was no big deal and fixed it the very same day. He generously served us and allowed us to think that we were doing him a favor. What a guy. What a great company.”
“I’m a solar contractor and use Armadillo Roofing as a subcontractor to move vents, re-roof houses or install mounting brackets on commercial buildings that we install systems on. These guys know how to do any kind of roofing job or repair I’ve thrown at them, but more importantly they know how to do it correctly. The one thing I like the most is when they show up at my jobsites, they have a very professional imagine compared to other roofers I’ve used in the past.”
