During this free consultation, we gather as much information as we can about you, your needs, and your project budget. This helps us make the most complete, informed recommendation to you regarding your roofing replacement or repair.
You won’t be charged for this consultation, and there’s never any pressure to buy.
Step 2
Exterior Analysis
We walk all around your home’s exterior, getting up on a ladder if necessary, and check over your home’s siding.
We may poke and prod your roofing; this is helpful in giving you the most thorough evaluation of the condition and problem areas of your roofing.
Any areas of concern are noted for further discussion with you.
Step 3
Estimate
This estimate is designed to be as complete as possible so you can make the most informed decision regarding your home’s roofing as possible.

“How do I know if I need a roof replacement or a roof repair?”
Replacing a Roof vs. Repairing a Roof
- Your roof is old. The average asphalt shingle roof lasts between 15 and 20 years, less in harsher conditions.
- You have curling or missing shingles. If you’ve got missing shingles or shingles with curled edges, your roof and its structure have been exposed to the elements. These individual shingles need to be repaired.
- You see broken or damaged flashing. Flashing keeps the moisture out of the joints of your roof, such as around vents and chimneys. If you’ve got broken or damaged flashing, moisture can get into your roof and cause damage that needs repaired.
- You get ice dams in winter. Ice dams, or ridges of ice that form at the edge of your roof, mean you’ve got uneven temperature control in your roof. This could be a sign your roof needs a full replacement.
- Your ceilings and walls are discolored. If you see discoloration on your ceilings and walls, this could mean that moisture, mold, and mildew are creeping into your home through the roof. If one area is damaged it’s very likely that other areas are damaged, too. This level of mold and mildew damage calls for a full replacement.
- You get animal visitors. Unless you’ve let a family of bats in through your front door, having critters in your attic could be a sign that your roof is so damaged that animals can get inside. This could be a repair or a replacement depending on how quickly you notice the problem.
